InCharge Embedded Digital Video Recorder
The InCharge 5000 Series of embedded Digital Video Recorders (DVR) uses hardware wavelet compression to produce superior-quality digital video. They feature digital video capture, compression and storage, a disk operating system designed specifically to optimize the recording and playback of digital video information, stereo audio recording and playback, video motion detection, and event logging. Models feature fixed or removable hard drives and we supply Windows-based back-end solutions.
The InCharge has eight external alarm inputs, up to six video inputs, and eight general-purpose outputs. It offers 1MB of video memory, and has a battery-back-up clock. It also has a 10/100 Ethernet media-access controller (MAC). With dimensions of only 1-7/8” tall by 5-7/8” wide by 8-3/4” deep, it fits easily and unobtrusively into tight spaces. Its rugged, embedded-system design provides superior reliability with extremely low failure rates.
The InCharge 5000 Series of low-power DVRs are perfect for mobile applications such as police cruisers, public transportation vehicles, fleet asset management, portable video deployments, and your specific OEM application. They are currently in use in municipal police agencies, campus police departments, and various branches of the US Government, including Homeland Defense, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and Department of Defense!
ArielNet AN-4400 Long Ranger Wireless Network Communicator
Geisas Technology Group for Department of the Treasury / U.S. Coast Guard
The AN-4400 Wireless Network Communicator is local area network (LAN) that consists of a number of wireless network communication devices that utilize a direct-sequence spread-spectrum radio link. The AN-4400 provides the communications path between the host system resources and remote locations at speeds up to 4Mb/s. An Rs-232c interface with a modem-like command-set allows easy integration with a wide variety of standard data systems. When coupled with a focusing device such as a parabolic or yagi antenna, the achievable range is only restricted by line-of-sight limitations.
LRX001 8 channel Video Capture and Compression interface board - Loronix
The LRNX001 is a PCI bus, bus mastering, 8-channel video capture and compression interface board. An Analog Devices ADV601 wavelet compression circuit is used to provide video compression/decompression capability. An ASIC was developed that provided an interface from the AVD601 and the PCI bus interface circuit. Eight composite NTSC or RS-170 video inputs are available. Each one has capability for NTSC or PAL video format. The input circuitry is capable of selecting one of the eight video inputs and locking to the next whole video frame for motion detection and capture. An on-board DSP processor controls the circuitry as it continuously steps through each of the eight video inputs. The next available frame is digitized and compressed. This data is then bus-master-transferred to system memory.
DVCPS AI-DVS-32 - Lockheed/Martin for NASA
The DVCPS AI-DVS-32 is a 32 by 32-channel digital video cross-point switch capable of routing any one or more of 32 SMPTE 259M digital input signals to any one or more of 32 SMPTE 259M output destinations. The AI-DVS-32 is designed to VMEbus 6U form factor and functions as a VMEbus slave as per IEEE 1014-1987. The DVCPS AI-DVS-32 is to be used as part of the scientific information monitoring system on the Japan Science Module of the International Space Station (currently under construction).
Wireless Hand Held Terminal (HHT) - McDonnel Douglas Training Systems
Applied Integration designed and developed for MDTS a wireless, portable control system and computer interface module (CIM), capable of providing a means for remote operator control of the AET-A7 Apache Helicopter Training System. The HHT consists of the hand held terminal, antennas, and interfaces required for data interface. The HHT also allows remote control using wireless frequency modulation transmission. The CIM provides interface between the HHT and the computer, communicating with the computer through a low-power radio frequency digital data link.
External Hydraulic System and Ballast Control Panel Simulator - Sargent Control
Applied Integration developed the EHS and BCP Simulator for use on a project that could receive pump control stimuli from the External Hydraulic Control System for System Under Test. The Simulator responds to those stimuli by returning feedback signals and limit switch closures that emulate those that would normally be generated by the real pump assembly, indicating the pump rod positions and the holding tank level. The Simulator also provides switch closures, derived from a four-position rotary switch on the front panel, and receives Status Lamp switch closures, displaying their state via annunciators on the front panel and the signal analyzer.
AI-VSW-SS12 Video Cross Point Switch - Naval Air Warfare
Applied Integration designed and developed the AI-VSW-SS12 VME video cross-point switch for use on a project for Naval Air Warfare. The video switch was developed to receive twelve separate channels of RS-170 or NTSC video and output any input channel on one, all, or none of twelve output channels. The state of this cross-point video switch is controlled either by the VMEbus or a dedicated hardwire port. All video connections to the switch are via the P2 connector. The state of the cross-point switch is controlled primarily through the VMEbus under CPU control.
AN/SQS-38 PPI Display System - EDO Corporation
This is a VMEbus-based video display system used as an upgrade to the PPI Display of the AN/SQS-38 Sonar System. Applied Integration developed the AI-C30-DSP Digital Signal Processor for use on the project, which also uses the AI-386 Processor and AI-DDC Display/Disk Controller. The AI-DDC Display/Disk Controller is a VMEbus-compatible board-set which functions as a 100% software-compatible IBM/AT Computer System with disk and Super VGA display capabilities. Software development for this project was also an Applied Integration responsibility.
